By proposing a rain garden as one of the sample gardens in the Kanegasaku nursery in Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, this study aims to inform the public about rain gardens and help them understand the benefits of flood risk reduction brought about by green infrastructure. Finally, the goal is to encourage residents to practice rain gardens through the sample garden.
The project is designed to create signage and cross-sectional models for residents to help them gain a deeper understanding of rain gardens. This is an interesting aspect of the practice that can only be achieved by actually creating the work on site.
