学園の道沿いに作られた長いベンチは千葉大学の圃場と道の境界を変化させ、中へと人々を引き込む。長く伸びたベンチは空の開けた場や薬木に囲まれた場など多様な関係を空間と形成し、様々な体験をもたらす。背もたれのあるベンチに腰掛けることによって空を仰ぎ、ラグビースクールを眺め、大学へと想いを馳せる。ベンチは人々を大学側へと引き込む新たな大学の顔としての憩いの場となる。
The long benches built along the road of the campus change the boundary between the road and the fields of Chiba University and draw
people inside. The long benches form various relationships with the space, such as an open space in the sky or a space surrounded by
medicinal trees, bringing about various experiences. Sitting on a bench with a backrest, one can look up to the sky, look at the rugby school, and think about the university. The benches become a new face of the university, a place for relaxation that draws people toward the university.
