800haの広大な農地が広がる現在の干拓地。私たちは一見、広大な農風景に目を奪われがちですが、目線を足元に向けると、それ以上に希少な植物種子が無数に生存し、目には見えない生態によって形作られる風景が広がっています。 度々重なる氾濫が引き起こされてきた干拓地において土壌一帯に広がるシー ドバンクとしての潜在力を見出し、現在は氾濫しない土地に意図的に内水氾濫を起こすことで、新たな風景を生み出す。
The current reclaimed land stretches as large as 800 hectares of farmland. At first glance, the vast agricultural landscape tends to catch the eye, but if you look further down, you will find a myriad of rare plant seeds and a landscape shaped by an unseen ecology. We see the potential of the reclaimed land that has been subject to repeated flooding as a seed bank that extends throughout the soil, and we create new landscapes by intentionally inundating land that is not currently flooded with inland water.
