水を利用して鳥の水源問題を解決と共に、対象地周辺の浸水問題の改善にも取り組む地域再生デザインの提案を行う。ここでは、「野鳥の楽園」をつくることで緑地と住宅の関係を再編成し、住宅を囲まれるリング状の緑地システムをつくる。緑地率を高めながら自然への干渉を最小限に抑え、自宅や屋内での長時間居る場合でも、自然を感じることができる。さらに廃棄された既存の建物を活用し、周囲の住民に野鳥観察の場とコミュニケーションの場をつくることで、住環境と野鳥の生息地を兼ね合わせた地区をデザインする。
"By using water to solve the problem of water sources for birds, as well as to improve the flooding problem around the target area, we will create a ring-shaped green space system that surrounds the houses, creating a ""bird paradise"".
It minimises the interference with nature and allows people to feel nature even when they are at home or indoors for long periods of time. Furthermore, the existing discarded buildings will be used to create a place for bird watching and communication for the surrounding residents."
