"The author's goal is to create a school route environment suitable for Shanghai. Due to the large width of urban roads in Shanghai, it is difficult to construct ‘Tuugakuro’ using roads like in Japan. So, the author uses the unique huge canal network as the foundation to plan the waterfront school route network. Considering the differences in spatial perception between children and adults, landscape design was carried out from a one-meter-high perspective of children, creating an environment where natural exploration can be freely carried out.
I hope this design can allow children to have a safe and free time after school. Allow children to observe, interact with, and think about the world from their own perspectives as independent individuals at the age when they have the most time for aimless exploration."
