With the growing importance of tourism as a means of regional development, this study focuses on the Snowy Takahama area of Sado City, Niigata Prefecture, and proposes ways to utilize the area as a tourism resource. Sado City has abundant nature and a unique culture, and tourism is a major industry, but the number of visitors has been declining. The proposal is to utilize abandoned farmland along the coast to regenerate chigaya grasslands and sandy beaches as tourist attractions. This grassland is rare in Japan and could be an attractive resource to attract tourists. The proposal seeks to utilize the local culture and natural environment and pursue its potential as a tourism resource.
