The challenges faced by science cities established through technological development as a national strategy, focusing on Kizugawa City, the core municipality of Keihanna Science City, to explore possibilities for sustainable urban reorganization. A resident awareness survey reveals key issues related to the industrial economy, living infrastructure, and local attachment. In response, the study references the circular urban model of Shenzhen, where research outcomes are integrated into everyday life through enterprise-led, multi-actor collaboration. Drawing on this model, a spatial proposal is developed to reconnect fragmented spaces and stakeholders. Framed as a “pre-release of future living” where knowledge and daily life intersect, the project presents a new urban vision for Kizugawa City.
