日本に多く存在する寺という場所は、土地の記憶を継承したり、弱った人々を受け止めたりした場所であった。しかし、近代化とともに実証主義的な方法が重視されるようになり、寺の持つそのような側面も薄れていった。本制作は、滋賀県百済寺を対象地とし、古寺の築いてきた、自然環境や文化の大きな時間の流れのなかで、人とランドスケープが呼応しながら癒しあい、現代の人々がゆっくりと自身の想いと向き合えるゆるやかな場所を提案する。
Temples were places that passed on the memory of the land and received the weak. However, with modernization, positivist methods have become more important, and this aspect of temples has faded away. In this project, I propose a place where people and the landscape each other in response to the nature and culture built up by the old temples over time, and where people of today can slowly face their own thoughts and feelings.
