街で営まれる鉢植え園芸ではホームセンターで買ってきた植物や土が使われ、古くなった土や鉢はしばしば放置されている。
本提案では、墨田区の路地園芸と向島百花園で行われる植物や土壌の循環のサイクルを結びつけることを目的とする。新たな道路拡幅の手法によって生まれる隙間の空間を使って地域の土壌や大きく育った植物を受け入れることで地域性のある園芸が街に広がっていくことを展望する。
"Potted gardening in the city uses plants and soil bought at home centers, and the old soil and pots are often neglected.
This proposal aims to link the cycle of plant and soil circulation that takes place in Mukojima Hyakkaen with alley gardening in Sumida-ku. We envision the spread of localized horticulture in the city by using the space between the gaps created by the new road-widening method to accept local soil and large plants that have grown up."
